Using the latest cryptographic algorithms, the AVM device
ensures a tamper-proof environment that protects the citizens’
biometric, demographic, and voting information. The interface
utilizes graphical navigation features, using biometric data to verify voters and count unique votes. The system is simple to
use, thereby ensuring that voters do not need any prior training to use it.
The AVM consists of a control unit and a digital ballot unit. The
optical fingerprint sensor, smart card reader, SD card reader,
and printing system are all conveniently fitted into the control unit.
A large 11.3-inch display ensures the candidate options are displayed clearly to the voters with 16 gray levels of advanced graphics. It can print out the voting results (which are based on automatic calculations and can be pre-programmed to start taking votes within a specific time frame). The Control Unit also comes with an HDMI port, allowing it to connect to larger displays. Additionally, the control unit has an internal power source that can keep both units completely functional for up to 16 hours.
