Applications
As a versatile multi-biometric engine, MegaMatcher ABIS offers diverse application capabilities across multiple domains:
- National Identity Registries
MegaMatcher ABIS can be an essential part of establishing and maintaining secure national identity registries. With robust biometric enrollment and registry cleanup capabilities, it efficiently captures and removes fraudulent and duplicate biometric identity records, ensuring accuracy and authenticity in citizen records. The system also facilitates identity verification during key government services, enhancing the integrity of critical processes. - National Elections
The integrity of national elections can be enhanced by using MegaMatcher ABIS for secure biometric voter registration and voter management systems. Its biometric recognition technologies prevent fraud and ensure that only eligible voters participate. - Border Control
For border control procedures, MegaMatcher ABIS can provide the swift biometric identification and verification of travelers against national and international databases. Its biometric matching capabilities enable border officials to promptly and accurately confirm the identities of travel document holders, reducing wait times and improving security. - Law Enforcement
MegaMatcher ABIS combines multiple biometric recognition technologies, including latent print recognition and can be tailored for law enforcement applications.
The improved system contains Neurotechnology's customized algorithm that has been tested at NIST ELFT and is optimized to gain better accuracy while matching latent print versus known plain and rolled print collections
Functionalities
- Multibiometric template extraction and matching engine.
The engine ensures accurate biometric template enrollment, verification, identification, and deduplication using fingerprint (slap, rolled, and latent), latent print, face, iris, and voice biometric modalities. - Data quality assessment.
The system performs automated quality checks on biometric data, identifying misalignments and correcting misplaced biometric records, evaluating the compliance with ICAO requirements, and other specific image quality checks. - Fraud prevention.
Detecting anomalies and inconsistencies in biometric records, identifying individuals with multiple identities, and preventing the fraudulent use of biometric data. - Adjudication.
The adjudication procedure resolves complex and anomalous matching cases by using automatic rulesets or forwarding the cases to human operators, who will review the cases using a specialized visual tool. - Multiple gallery support.
Identities can be organized into separate and isolated galleries by certain attributes (i.e. geographic region, agency, biometric modality, and more) and providing restricted, controlled access to each gallery. - Identity records management.
Management of the whole lifecycle of identity records, including registration, updates, and deletion procedures. Identity management functionalities can be expanded by combining MegaMatcher ABIS and MegaMatcher IDMS into a single unified system. - Criminal Investigation.
The system can be configured for law enforcement applications. It can be combined with the MegaMatcher Criminal Investigation and MegaMatcher Criminal IDRS to expand functionality. - Enrollment.
The system enables biometric identity enrollment using cameras, fingerprint/palmprint readers (120+ models supported) and iris scanners. Enrollment functionalities can be expanded further by combining MegaMatcher ABIS with MegaMatcher IDRS. - Statistics and report generation.
Deliver a deeper understanding of system performance, identifying areas for improvement and enhancing overall efficiency. - User management.
MegaMatcher ABIS provides role-based access control with the possibility to define custom user roles from fine-grained permissions. It uses OAuth 2.0 protocol and can be integrated with existing authentication systems. - Customization for project needs.
Most components of MegaMatcher ABIS can be customized to meet specific project needs.
